People Inc. reported that its core sessions fell 26% in the third quarter of 2026, to 1,613M from 2,168M a year earlier. It said the drop was due mainly to AI-oriented search and content discovery.

Ahrefs reported in September 2026 that after Google launched AI Overviews in France on July 22, 2026, median click-through rate fell 23.1% for French domains where more than 20% of queries show an AI Overview.
